The day with Nikola was a truly great one. The chateau wine tastings and the lunch was spectacular. Nikola is so passionate about wine and enjoyed that he shared his knowledge with us. The e-bike riding allowed you to go far and see so much of the countryside. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful day around St Emilion as a family of four. The bikes are easy to use and the electric motor makes for easy cycling. The two chateaux visits were fantastic and we learned a lot about the wine making process. Throughout the day, the wine and the food was of the highest quality, as was the easy going nature and information provided by our tour guide. I would highly recommend for a day trip.

Our peloton leader and tour guide was exceptional. He set everyone up to feel comfortable with their e-bikes before we hit the road. Viewing the vineyards from country roads and off roads was a nice way to see several up close, take in the land, and enjoy the sun (it was REALLY hot for us but the wind from riding was nice). He brought along plenty of water, a nice touch. Both wineries tasting room directors were knowledgeable and great at explaining the process and specialties of the area. For a group of 10 strangers, 5 sets of couples, we had 4 from England and us for the US, everyone gelled and we had a very fun day together. Highly recommend this as a way to experience this world renowned wine region. The lunch was perfect as well

We booked the tour starting in Saint-Emilion, joining a van of people who came from Bordeaux. We enjoyed two tastings, a lovely charcuterie lunch (with wine), na dbiking through the picturesque vineyards around Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. The day was topped off with a tasting at a wine shop in town. The tour price is a high, but we thought the service was very good and note that the tasting included some high price wines. Overall, I would recommend this tour.

We loved the tour and our wonderful tour guide - we learnt a lot and saw beautiful countryside vineyards and chateaux and tasted great wines. The cycling was a lovely way to get around and we felt safe and informed. Highly recommended.

This was the highlight of our time in Saint-Émilion. The picnic was the classic French experience. Nicola and Zach went out of their way to ensure our group had a great time. You do not want to miss creating this memory that will last a lifetime!

Easy biking with a great tour leader ( Vincent) The ride through the beautiful vineyards was pleasant and much was learned along the way. Delightful lunch picnic. The 3 different tastings were very informative regarding soil composition, history, grape varieties etc. A glass of wine after this experience will have a different meaning and taste. I will definitely recommend this to all my friends

Excellent from start to finish ! Rustic kept us informed about the day in advance, turned up on time, with everything prepared. Our Latvian guide Jorensz (? Spelling ) was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Bikes were perfect. Picnic Lunch was perfect. We visited two super vineyards, with tours and tasting and then another tasting back in St Emilion after a walking tour. A fabulous day out, and a great way to see the beautiful countryside. We had such a great time cycling around the fields around Saint Emilion. Vincent was a charming, knowledgeable and animated guide. The bikes were easy to use. We learned a lot about the intricacies of wine making from the growing through to the maturation which was very interesting. We had a light lunch at the first winery. After a second smaller winery we headed to Saint Emilion for a short walking tour around the city and a wine tasting.
I would definitely recommend this tour. I felt that the 2nd winery would have benefited from a more structured presentation and maybe a few lights snacks as it was charming with a lot of potential. I was glad I had a light rain jackets to help as a windbreak and for the light showers.

We had a fantastic time on the rustic e-bike tour in Saint-Émilion. The route was beautiful and the e-bikes made exploring the vineyards both easy and fun. The wine tastings were excellent and gave us a real feel for the region. A special mention to our guide, Jorens, who made the experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge, energy, and great sense of humor. Highly recommend this tour if you want a mix of adventure, scenery, and authentic Saint-Émilion wine culture.

Yev was awesome on our tour! He took time to make sure everyone stayed safe during our journey and was extremely knowledgeable about not only the vineyards/ chateaus we visited, but the wine making process in general.
He was even nice enough to extend our tour with a visit to the st. Emilion church and the attached cellar. I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely do it again!

This was a truly wonderful experience. The scenery was exquisite. Our guide, Yev, was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, the vineyards, the history and culture of St Emilion. Yev was also a very sensitive ride leader. He made sure we were all comfortable on e-bikes – our first experience! He checked with everyone routinely along the ride to be sure the pace was right, we were drinking enough water, and we were still comfortable on the bicycles. Everything about the day – from booking to experience – was great. This is a must do if you want to see wineries that aren’t full of buses of tourists!

It was an amazing day. Yev our guide was informative, friendly and could not do enough to make the day memorable.
The lunch was very tasty. The bikes were in great condition. The route was safe. The wine was superb.

This was a fantastic day, very well lead by Maude. A good pace of cycling. Great going off the beaten track a real adventure. Lunch was scrumptious and a welcome break under the lovely shade of large trees is a chateau garden.

Loved our day of bike travel (e-bike) to two different chateaus for wine tasting, stopping along the way for photos, and ending in St. Emilion at one of the tasting caves. All the people were informative and lovely. E-biking can either be super easy (on turbo, tour, or sport) to more exercise oriented (eco). Great to have a guide to navigate the roads and paths!

We had an amazing time with the rustic vines tour of St Emilion. The e-bikes made it so easy to tour around the vineyards and Pauline was a great host. It was a packed day with 2 vineyards visited and a lovely picnic lunch in the grounds of one of the chateau and then another tasting session in the village and a tour of St Emilion itself yet it didn’t feel rushed at all, a perfect way to spend the day on our 30th wedding anniversary. We could not recommend this more. Easy pick up from the dedicated shop and then heading out into the vineyards. Our leader Maud was brilliant and took us on a mixture of roads, tracks, and in and out of the vineyards, and to the best chateaux in the area. The two main vineyards we visited were fascinating and we were so well looked after, with delicious lunch and tastings. This tour was recommended by a group of friends who came to Saint-Emilion for their honeymoon and it was a fantastic recommendation. Maude is an amazing tour guide - knowledgable, hilarious, and made the day so much fun. It is a full day packed with wine tasting and 11-12 miles of biking so dress accordingly! We had a great time with Rustic Vines. Our host was Maude, she was great and really made the day good fun. The bikes were good and all seemed to have been well maintained.
The vineyard tours were interesting and our guides very knowledgeable. We tasted a number of great wines and were supplied some from the first vineyard for lunch. The lunch was a lovely board of meats and cheeses - quite unexpected.
I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Just a fabulous tour. Gorgeous scenery, great guide and we were lucky with both the weather and the group. The education provided about the wine making in this particular area was so interesting and the wine tasting was amazing. Ed did a phenomenal job. Took us to 2 very different wineries showing us the wide range in Saint-Emilion. Went to a bottle shop for more tastings and finished with a walking tour. Ed is very knowledgeable and really did a great job.

Started with a lovely morning coffee then off to the wineries where we tasted some great wines. The picnic lunch and wine was excellent. The views amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour. Mode was a fabulous guide and the group got on so well. The bikes were good quality and the area we rode was throughout the vineyards so there were very few cars and no traffic. It felt relaxed and enjoyable. The wine stops were good and the tour of saint emilion at the end of the day was another highlight

Very thoughtful and enjoyable bike tour through gorgeous wine country! Our tour guide was patient, pointed out everything we were seeing, and was forwarding thinking in her allowing us to pause to put on rain gear when needed, brought us water bottles, and overall just thought through every detail so that we could enjoy our day! The wineries we visited were lovely, and we certainly tasted plenty of wine! Lunch was a "picnic" with cheese, wine, cured meats, fruit, and some local desserts. Truly wonderful all around!

My partner and I took the tour to explore Saint-Emilion by bike. The electric bikes were a nice surprise, making the biking much easier and really fun! Especially after drinking some wine and you're less focused ;)
We received lunch at one of the wineries we stopped by at their garden. It was really lovely.

Our Rustic Vines experience was excellent. We made the most out of the day and went biking in the rain with our guide, Nicola. He is fun, funny and very knowledgeable about the wines of the Bordeaux region. He is from the area himself. The vineyards we visited were top-notch, and the bikes made everything a breeze. We were also given ponchos so we didn't get wet. We would all ride around with Rustic Vines again, rain or shine!

We had an amazing time with Tim! He was accommodating to every single person on our day riding around the beautiful wineries. It was my first time riding an e-bike and it was super fun and we all highly recommend doing this while you are visiting Saint Emilion! The views and the wine are beyond gorgeous. We had a wonderful day exploring Saint Émillion and the surrounding areas on the Rustic Vines your. The group size of 9 was perfect, as it allowed us all to chat with each other and ask questions. We visited 2 wineries and had 3 wine tastings, which was very educational. It was interesting to try the different wines. We also had a lovely lunch prepared by our lovely guide Daniella.

We are Australians travelling in Europe since April 23 and so have done many tours in many cities and countries, with varying degrees of success and satisfaction during that time. With Rustic Vines and in particular our guide Nichola, we hit the jackpot. This is head and shoulders above the rest, the best tour we’ve done. Nichola was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about his work, and best of all it didn’t matter if you were novices like us or wine people like our new friends on the tour. N made it all so interesting. We visited two really interesting vineyards both different in their approach to wine making but both producing excellent wines. Cap all that with a wonderful ride through the St Emillion area, a relaxing garden lunch (with a bottle of course) , while he educated us even more on the ins and outs of the area. Should add that the two chateau’s visited own guides were also excellent. All this makes this an absolutely not to be missed tour. 5 stars all round. Nichola (hope that’s the correct spelling), thanks for your passion mate.

There’s nothing like an e-bike ride through beautiful vineyards and chateaux, wind in the air, and exercising a bit to compensate for the wine you drink. Our guide Nicolas was excellent, who is from the region, was very knowledgeable about wine and history. He made local recommendations we were sure to write down! We visited two organic wineries, guided by the staff of each, where we realised how much more complex but eco-friendly it is to produce wine that way and. At the end Nicolas showed us the must-sees in the village. We had a fabulous day.

We drove two hours to get here and attend the tour and it was worth every minute and money spent on this. We visited amazing vineyards with professional tours and a large lunch, with more wine! The tour guide, Nicolai was fantastic and so knowledgeable about wines and the area. The bikes were perfect and it was a perfect day out - the tour guide was able to recommend eateries and restaurants in St Emilion which was the cherry on top!

We had the perfect day. We lucked out with the best weather. The bike was easy to use and comfortable! Our guide was kind, happy and knowledgeable. In fact, I would describe him as an authentic soul. If you like biking and wine you can’t go wrong. Best day of our vacation. Would do it again.

What a great way to see the vineyards around Saint-Émilion. Worth it for the cycle through the vineyards alone (the electric assist bikes make it very easy). We visited two very different châteaus, with in-depth tours of the chateaus and winery, and tastings of course. There was also a lovely picnic lunch, an extra wine tasting back in Saint-Émilion and a knowledgable and fun guide. What an unforgettable experience!

Really great day out in and around St Emilion. Travelled a good distance across the wine growing area, visiting 2 separate vineyards (both excellent), but really easy and fun on the electric bikes - even though it was +30c!
It is not an 'inexpensive' trip, but actually pretty good value - plenty of wine to taste, great picnic lunch organised, and so much to see with the cycle tour and short walking tour of St Emilion (beautiful).
Special 'shout out' to Jorens (our guide) who was fantastic - really made it a memorable day for all of us.

Nicolas our guide was great, really fun, informative and interesting. We enjoyed the day enormously, the wine tastings were excellent and the bikes great, and lunch very good.
We would have preferred more cycling in the afternoon rather than walking around St Emillion although this was interesting.

What can I say, this was simply a perfect day! Nicolas was a very gracious and informative host who clearly has a passion for the area and the wine.
For those who have not ridden on an E-bike, don't be nervous, it is very comfortable and minimal effort. The 2 vineyards we visited were welcoming and keen to educate us. The wines were excellent too!
Lunch was a sharing board with cheese, meats, vegetables and bread which was fantastic. Washed down with a glass of wine!
We finished the day back at base with a 3rd and final tasting before a short stroll around St Emilion Town. Nicolas also recommended a wine bar which turned out to be a perfect way to spend the evening! (Sous La Robe, across the road from the hire company)

Our full day bike tour of St Emilion was excellent. The staff were responsive and helpful during the booking process. Marie, our guide, was knowledgable and enthusiastic. The bikes were easy to ride and in good condition. Lunch was tasty, and the wine chateau tours and tasting was informative. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous experience in June, 2023, with Tim as our guide, and the entire Rustic Vines team was amazing. The bikes were in good condition and easy to ride, the route they chose was perfect length with the most beautiful landscape with rolling hills and beautiful vineyards. The two Chateau visits were enjoyable and the tastings very good. Our lunch was fresh, delicious and the perfect amount of food.
